Yes the overland Kailash Mansarovar tour from Kathmandu is mostly drive by bus or Jeep. We can get up to  Lake Mansarovar,  Town of Darchen and even the starting point of 3 days trek to Parikrama Tharboche / Yama Dwar by comfortable Vechile ( jeep, Bus, Van). Only 3 days walk Parikrama or Khora is on foot, which is total of 38 KM only.  First day Parikrama walk is about 12 Km, 2nd day is about 20 Km and 3rd day is about 8 KM. For the prikrama also you have option of hiring horse / Yak to ride or private porter to assist  you at extra cost.
So people who are healthy, strong desire to visit Kailash Mansarovar can make kailash tour easily.  We always have extra days at Diraphuk – north face of Kailash  ( subject to TTB permisson) to see close up view of Kailash and acclamatization hike.
