Today we will visit one of the largest shiva Temple Pashupati Nath – where many Hindu love to go and worship. The winter residence of Lord shiva. We will do some Puja, Abishekam there.  As you may know many Hindu death body are cremated in the Ghats of Bagmati River near Pashupatinath. We will do Puja and havan.

After that we will visit Patan durbar square (or Lalitpur, ‘city of fine arts) today it is a part of greater Kathmandu, was once the capital of a powerful independent kingdom. You’ll notice as we explore this area, a calmer vibe – the craftspeople here, many of whom are Buddhist, have created exquisite temples and other works of art which give the area a distinct artisan feel. After lunch, we’ll drive on a classic Nepali road northeast to Nagarkot a hill station. It’s refreshing to once again leave the bustling Kathmandu Valley behind on our way to a Mountain Resort town. We’ll have plenty of time this afternoon to check into our rooms and relax with views of the Himalayas.

Today we fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa the holy city, we will stay in Lhasa.  ( 4 star hotel or we can upgrade to 5 star like Shangrila at extra cost)

Note: There is not everyday flight to Kathmandu ( only 3 days a week) we have to adjust with date and days we fly.

Overnight in Lhasa.

Sightseeing in Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Bharkhor Market). We will take the tour in Lhasa while acclimatizing.

At the assigned time, we’ll begin our tour by visiting the iconic Potala Palace. Built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama, this magnificent palace offers breathtaking views of the entire city and is home to the private quarters of the Dalai Lama, numerous grand state rooms, and chapels. Afterward, we’ll visit the revered Jokhang Temple, founded in the 7th century by Songtsen Gampo, which is considered the most sacred monastery in Tibet. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of this magical land: take a stroll through the vibrant Barkhor old quarter and follow pilgrims from all over the Tibetan plateau on a kora around the Jokhang Temple.

Kora is a term used in Tibetan Buddhism that refers to the practice of circumambulating around a sacred site, such as a temple, stupa or mountain, as a way of showing devotion and accumulating merit. The practice involves walking clockwise around the site, often while reciting mantras, prayers or other sacred texts. It is also believed to bring good fortune and blessings to those who undertake it.

We fly to Purang – known as Taklakot the old capital of Tibet Nagri Region, a business hub between Nepal, India and Tibet in the past.  The  Purang town lies at an altitude of 3,900 m (12,800 ft) in the valley of the Karnali River.

We stay in a nice, comfortable hotel.

Note: In Lhasa we will be eating meals in Nepali / Indian restaurants. In Purang we meet our  Nepali crew here with all meals and other arrangements.

After breakfast we leave for Manasarovar – a lake created by Bramha for Human being to get Mokxya – Manasarovar is the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss.

Today we drive about 3 hours with beautiful mountain views.  We will drive around holy Lake Mansarovar Parikarama by bus provided by Nagri Kailash region transport service, we will also visit Seralung Monastery, Trugo Monastary, Gossal Monastery stay at simple Guest house at bank of Mansarovar.

Called “Mapam Yumtso” in Tibetan the holy Lake Mansarovar is relatively round in shape with a circumference of 88 km (54.7 mi) in winter and in summer 125 KM. Its depth reaches a maximum of 90 m (300 ft) and its surface area is 320 km2 (123.6 sq mi). It is connected to nearby Lake Rakshastal by the natural Ganga Chhu channel.

Night at  Lake Mansarovar in a nice hot spring hotel :

Many travelers want to  see stars or apsara at Lake Mansarovar  at night. Many may witness its beauty under the moon light. Though visiting lake in the night is completely safe but it is advisable to go in a group and if possible take our expert team you for any required help. Dress properly with warm clothes as the temperature outside will be cold. Good idea to carry a torch and a whistle too. It is believed that Apsara from swarga or even Lord Parvati visit Manasarovar at night for taking bath.

A beautiful day at the piece of Heaven. We can visit powerful Chiu Monastery,  we can take deep at  lake Manasarovar or we provide warm water from the Lake in Bathing tent then join pious Puja or Havan at lake, and later of the day prepare for Kailash Parikrama / packing / discussion about extra horse / yak / porter booking etc and Later drive  to Darchen at Base of Kailash and do repacking for Kailash Yatra.

If time permit we can drivce to Serlung Gompa to worship Astapad and see  close up  view of south face of Kailash.

Today after early breakfast we drive about 8 KMs and start hiking for the Parikrama of Kailash parvat , total walk for about 6 to 7 hours.

The Holy  Kailash Parikarama trek starts from Yama Dwar at Tharboche. This day we have to walk slowly but continuously for about 6 to 7 hours.

We will be seeking blessing from Lord Shiva at this beautiful pilgrimage, expectation of positive energy.  Kailash parvat is axis Mundi and Ganges flow from Shiva’s matted hair ( Jatta ). By touching the miracle feet of mount Kailash and ganges axis people get mokshya – the salvation , a rebirth.  It is believed that Ganges is the water that flows from the melted snow of Kailash and interesting enough 4 of the major river in Asia Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and Karnali originated with in 50 KM radious of Kailash mountain. That is why May be Kailash is known as Sumeru Parvat or center of the earth.

Overnight stay at Diraphuk in simple guesthouse – this is amazing North face of Kailash Parvat.

Trek via Dolma La ( 5650 meters) and trek down to Juthulpuk Valley, and take a jeep to Darchen. Stay overnight in Darchen at the very nice Trun Bei Hotel.

After breakfast, we drive from Darchen to Purang (Taklakot), retracing our route through the beautiful Tibetan Plateau. This is a relaxing day after completing the sacred Kailash Parikrama. On arrival in Purang, we check into our hotel and have time to rest and freshen up.

Purang, also known as Taklakot, is an important town in the Ngari region and has historically been a major trading hub between Tibet, Nepal and India.

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight from Purang (Ngari) to Lhasa. Upon arrival in Lhasa, we transfer to our hotel and have time to relax after the journey.

The remainder of the day is free for rest, personal activities, shopping or exploring the surroundings of Lhasa, depending on the flight arrival time.

Overnight in Lhasa.

After breakfast, we transfer to Lhasa Airport for our onward flight. Depending on the confirmed flight schedule and travel arrangements, we will fly from Lhasa to Beijing and continue onward to our home destination.

This marks the completion of our sacred Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. We say farewell to Tibet and begin our journey home, carrying with us the blessings and memories of Holy Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar, and this spiritual pilgrimage.
