When we were there via Beijing and Lhasa, the usual weather challenges, people’s sickness, government bureaucracies did exist and to add to that additional challenge of Nepal unrest arose too. The 35 days trip that you planned and led for the two of us plus Ms. Lydia Kersbergen, Holland, was beyond our expectations. (May 16 thru June 20, 2004. Las Vegas – Kathmandu – Naylam – Saga – Parang – Manasarovar – Darchen – Mt Kailash – Tharpoche – Tingri – Mt. Everest Base Camp – Lhatse – Shigatse – Gyantse – Lhasa- Kathmandu – Las Vegas)
Your team of three Nepalese and three Tibetans worked very well together. In fact, within a few days of the journey, we were all like one big family. Our Toyota Landcruiser driver, Mr. Tsering, is one of the best drivers and mechanics that I have ever met. He made us feel very safe thru all those treacherous mountain passes. Out Tibetan guide, Mr.Tenthar was very helpful and eager to please. His attitude made up for his basic English speaking skills. Our Nepalese cook, Mr. Gambu Sherpa, made such wonderful food throughout the trip that we were afraid of gaining weight! Thanks to Mr. Gambu, we had three real fresh baked cakes to celebrate our anniversary, my birthday and our farewell. We also want to thank you for taking time off from your busy schedule and personally accompanying us throughout the journey and helping us with the three-day trek around Mt. Kailash. I don’t think we would have been able to complete the three-day trek by own feet at our age without your constant guidance and help
We will definitely visit Nepal and Tibet again. We hope to do next year the lodge-to-lodge trekking in Nepal. Once again, thank you for the successful planning and leading of our once-in-a-life spiritual journey and trekking adventure.

Divine experience during Kailash pilgrimage via Beijing  / Lhasa  2025 :

Earthbound Expeditions supported our pilgrimage to Kailash. We were a group of 36 friends from USA. Earthbound organized a private trip. Earthbound took care of us really well from the time we landed in Beijing till we departed from Kathmandu, a total of 15 days. We were all vegetarians. Earthbound cooked and fed us healthy and tasty vegetarian meals all the way from Lhasa till we reached Kathmandu. Arjun, Sri Ram and our Tibetan guide Dopla and rest of Earthbound team worked hard to ensure that we have divine experience through the day and at every site we visited. They ensured that we had everything to do abhishekam to Bhagwan Shiva at Manasasarovar. They delivered first aid as needed during health check ups every day. Some needed help middle of night which was also taken care off. We were in good hotels in most of the bigger towns and had to adjust with basic accommodations at places like Manasarovar and Dirapuk since facilities are extremely limited. During Parikrama of 3 days, porters and others that accompanied us provided valuable tips on conserving energy, right way to trek like sherpas do and help capturing photo moments. Our trip ended with Earthbound organizing a divine Homa and Rudra Namaka Chamaka Parayana in Kathmandu at Pasupathi Nath Mandir.

Just got back from an unforgettable Kailash and Mansarovar yatra. The trip wasn’t possible without the help of “Earthbound Expeditions”. So, a very big thank you to Earthbound Expeditions Team. Rajan Ji and his crew were amazing, very helpful and caring. They took care of us like a family; every small need was fulfilled. The food served was great. During the trip, medical parameters were checked daily, and recommendations were provided accordingly. The journey from Nepal to Tibet and vice-versa was long but the Rajan Ji’s humor and Nepali songs made it very enjoyable.
Because of Rajan Ji and Shiv Ji’s grace we were the first one to do Inner Kora and Charan Sparsha this year.

My journey to Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar with Earthbound has been an incredibly blissful experience! From the moment we arrived at KTM airport until the end of our 15-day adventure, every team member was like a superhero, radiating immense patience, empathy, and compassion. Their wealth of experience and knowledge truly shone through!

No matter the situation, their warm smiles never faded. Each accomplishment during our yatra was met with cheers and celebrations from the staff, especially when some of us faced those challenging altitude changes. We traveled with EarthBound Expedition to Mt.Kailash and Manasarovar in June 2025. The entire 2 weeks journey was very well organized thanks to Rajanji and our guides Arjun and Bharat.Had a very satisfying and fulfilling journey, the kitchen staff executed their duties like clock work. The guides took great care of us throughout the trip and paid each of us personal attention. My wife and I took the Kailash manasarovar yatra on July 14-27, 2024 with an Earthbound tour led by Rajan Simkhada and his team. There were 30 tourists from the US. We started our tour from Kathmandu. This Kailash yatra is one of the best trips I have ever experienced. Rajan and earthbound crew took care of everyone’s needs professionally with extra touch of love and respect. From start to finish, every day services offered by the Earthbound team deserve 5 stars. I strongly recommend Earthbound tours for whoever is planning a Kailash trip in near future.

We did the Kailash- Mansarovar yatra as as a group of 9 couples starting in Lhasa and concluding in Kathmandu. Our ages were from the low 50’s to the high 60’s with several trekkers not having much experience at high altitude. Earthbound led by Mr Rajan were brilliant for a number of reasons:
– The team was responsive to our individual needs and catered to them with a smile often going beyond of what would be expected; They were particular in watching hydration levels and general well being
– The organisation was excellent and we knew of the forward plan clearly at all stages
– They were proactive in anticipating unexpected events. On the return circuit the road to Nepal from Saga was impacted by rain/floods Earthbound anticipated the likely delay and secured accommodation for us in good time. We were not inconvenienced at all and were aware of other groups that faced more challenges;
– Finally, Rajan and his team could accurately gauge which of us needed help and when. They all had a sense of humor and managed to keep everything “light” even during uncertain situations.

15 of us did the full Kora and the others did the half kora. Rajan also infused spiritualism which was welcomed as we were all of Indian ethnicity and the KMS trip was a combination of adventure with a spiritual bias.
Very grateful to Earthbound for such a memorable trip and will wholeheartedly recommend them to others considering this trek. As this is often a bucket list trip for many people and there are several questions that may come to mind, will be happy to share our experiences.

We went on the Kailash parikrama (trek) via Tibet and Mansarovar lake over 15 days, starting in Lhasa and finishing in Kathmandu. It was a fascinating experience and at times challenging. We received excellent and personalized service and care from Rajan ji and his team. They were knowledgeable, cheerful and always helpful. We will always remember the grandeur and beauty of the Himalayas, it’s mythological and spiritual context, and the people, culture and countryside of Tibet. In August 2024 we went with our friends to Kailash mansarover yatra. This we did with Earthbound Expeditions and we were taken care for every need of ours with lot of love and affection and sincerity from Rajan ji and his team.
