Yatra Overview

Gangotri Temple: This holy temple belongs to the goddess Ganga. She is the Goddess of Moksha. Therefore, if she gets happy with you, you get yourself free from all your sins. Also, she makes your soul free from the cycle of life and death. With her blessing, you get a permanent respectful position in heaven. Therefore, it’s the place where you must visit. It’s the place where the goddess Ganga came first when Lord Shiva released her from his hair lock. It was Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa who constructed this temple in the 18th Century, on the bank of river Bhagirathi.

Vishwanath temple: This holy temple is in the name of Lord Shiva, and full of amazing wonders. As for example, there’s a Trishul which is 8 foot 9-inch-long and has the 26 feet height. Also, inside the temple, there is a Shivlinga which is 56 cm high and having the elevation towards the south. As per belief, the tour to Gangotri is incomplete without visiting this temple, and therefore, this temple is highly important. Out of the temple, there is Nandi Baba guarding the temple premises. As per belief, in this right now, it’s the only place where Lord Shiva is present in his Swyambhu Shivlinga form.

Shakti Temple: The Shakti temple of Uttarkashi is one of the famous and holy temples in Hinduism. This temple directly belongs to Mata Shakti. Therefore, a place where Mata herself listens to you and helps you. Inside the temple, there is a trident that is 6 m tall, and 90 cm in diameter. As per devotees, if you try moving this Trishul with all your body weight, you can’t any success, but if you try the same with just your fingertips, you can easily do it. It’s really a miracle if true. About this Trishul, there is a belief that it’s the original weapon of Goddess Durga that she threw to kill demons. Therefore, you must visit this place at least once.

Day01

Arrival Delhi

The guest arrive to Delhi from different or same flight, we pick up them transfers to hotel and rest. ( we can use hotels like the Lalit or Radission or any good hotels). Serve Dinner and rest.

Day02

Delhi - Haridwar

Today after breakfast drive to City of God Haridwar, check into the hotel after settling in the hotel visit to explore local sightseeing.

Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Bharat Mata temple evening attend Ganga Aarti of Har-ki-Pauri after that back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day03

Haridwar-Mussoorie-Barkot (180 kms, 06 hrs drive)

Drive to Barkot/Syanachatti, on the way visit Mussoorie & Kempty falls. Arrive Barkot and transfer to Hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Important places to visit: Mussoorie, Kempty Falls & {Lakhamandal, may have Additional charges)*}

Day04

Barkot - Yamunotri return

Drive to Jankichatti then trek 07 kms to reach Yamunotri to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna, situated on the banks of the river. You can take a holy dip in the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees. Trace your steps back to Jankichatti. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Important places to visit: Yamunotri Temple, Surya Kund & Divya Shila.

Day05

Barkot - Gangotri (180 kms, 6:30Hrs drive)

After breakfast drive to Gangotri/Harsil. One of the most beautiful valleys in the world. En-route we will stop at Gangnani for a hot water spring dip. Drive to Gangotri (22 kms/1 hr). On arrival take a holy dip in the River sacred- The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surroundings, after that back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Harsil/Gangotri.

Day06

Gangotri - Bhojbasa (14Kms trek)

start the trek towards Bhojbasa via Chirbasa. Today’s complete trek will be along with the thriving of Bhagirathi River. After crossing Chirbasa, the landscape becomes isolated and in fact, it been denoted as Arctic Tundra by many famous trekkers. Further trek towards Bhojbasa after crossing Chirbasa. By reaching at Bhojbasa, stay in the campsite besides the river. There is a small temple located near the river and have the darshan. Evening explore the area and admire the sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks. Overnight stay at Bhojbasa camp.

Note: if some one not feeling good or don’t want to trek can wait / meditate , Puja at Gangotri and wait for the rest of the team.

Day07

Bhojbasa To Gaumukh (5 Kms) to Gangotri (18 Kms trek)

Early morning relish the panoramic view of Bhagirathi peaks. After breakfast, start the trek towards Gomukh (3890mt), the source of the Ganges. Gomukh is place where the water of Ganga seeps down from the glaciers. Sages call it as ‘Gomukh’, because in the distant past, it probably seemed like a cow’s mouth after that start the return trek to Gangotri. Once reached at Gangotri/Harsil check into the hotel and leisure.

Day08

Gangotri to Uttarkashi (100kms/3:30Hrs)

After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Uttarkashi & visit Kashi Vishwanath temple, Shakti Temple after that check into the hotel rest day – Bhajan , Kirtan, rest.

Day09

Uttarkashi- Guptakashi (200 kms/7 hrs)

After early breakfast, we will proceed to Guptakashi . Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day10

Guptkashi - Kedarnath (16Kms. trek)

After breakfast, we proceed to Sonprayag. After medical checkup we proceed to Gaurikund. Then we begin our trek to Kedarnath. Arrive at Kedarnath ji and transfer to hotel. There are 8-10 small private hotels available and they have neat and clean rooms with attached toilet and bath. They also serve hot water buckets. After freshen up proceed for the darshan at Kedarnath ji. After darshan at Kedarnath overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Important places to visit: Gauri Mata Temple in Gaurikund, Kedarnath Temple, Evening aarti, Bharav Baba

Day11

Kedarnath - Sitapur - Guptkashi

Trace your steps back and return to Sonprayag. Drive back to Sitapur/Guptkashi. Stay overnight in hotel.

Important optional places to visit: Trijukinarayan*, Kalimath*( May have Additional charges)

Day12

Guptkashi - Badrinath (200 kms / 8 hrs)

After an early breakfast, we proceed to Badrinath. We halt for some time enroute at Chopta. Chopta is popularly called as the “Mini Switzerland”. You can enjoy a splendid view of the snowcapped Himalayan peaks from here. Enjoy the beautiful drive through medicinal forests. When you arrive at Badrinath check into your hotel for overnight stay.

Important places to visit: Guptkashi Temple, Ukhimath Temple, Chopta & Narsing Temple in Joshimath.

Day13

Badrinath –Rudraprayag : (165 Kms, 6 Hrs)

Get up early in the morning and see the beauty of the majestic Neel Khant peak. There is a hot water spring here called as Tapt Kund. The devotees take a holy dip here before taking Darshan of the Badrinath Temple. Have your breakfast and then drive to Mana Village. This is the last village on the Indo-China border. Dep about noon, then drive to Rudraprayag. Dinner & stay overnight at the hotel

Important places to visit: Sri Badri Vishal Temple, Tapt Kund, Bhrama kapal, Narad Kund, Sheshnetra and Mata Murti Temple.

Important places in Mana Village: Bheem pul, Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa

On the way sightseeing: Yogdhyan Badri, Vishnuprayag, Shankracharya Mutt in Joshimath, Nandprayag and Karanprayag.

Day14

Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (140 kms, 06 hrs)

After breakfast, we proceed to Rishikesh. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Evening visit to Ramjhulka and Laxmanjhula, Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan.Stay overnight at the hotel.

Important places to visit: Rudraprayag confluence, Dhari Devi Temple, Devprayag confluence, Lakshman jhula, Ramjhula

Day15

Rishikesh-Delhi - Departure home

After breakfast departure for Delhi about 5-6 hours, either can catch same day flight to home or stay overnight in Delhi and depart next day. ( if need to stay overnight in Delhi , the hotel cost extra).
